Features: The travel bag is lined with light grey, lightweight Cordura. The main compartment has a large opening with a sturdy zip. The shoulder strap is adjustable and removable, plus there are two hand straps made from car seat belts. There are two side pockets on the outside and a large flat pocket on the front of the bag. The edges are reinforced with piping. The base is made of black, sturdy PVC-coated fabric.
My bags are cut by hand, and I decorate each bag component individually to give it its own unique design. The canvas is not cleaned before processing. Heavy soiling and damage are not processed. Existing seams, thimbles, batten pockets and double layers from the sails are incorporated into the design. All sail numbers and trim strips that I attach are sewn on with an effective zigzag stitch using sailmaker's thread, which prevents these appliqués from coming off.
Spraying with a commercially available plastic impregnating agent makes the canvas fibre more resistant to dirt.
These bags can be washed at 40 degrees on a gentle cycle.
